That first trial? The Kia Seltos stood strong in Bharat NCAP‘s safety run. Near flawless – 31.70 out of 32 – for adults riding inside. When it comes to kids, 45 points landed cleanly from a max of 49. Spot on each time, no matter which model rolls off the lot. Straight from assembly, these machines arrived on the course without any tweaks.

Built exactly like that, these machines performed perfectly right away. When diesel and smooth automatic come together, speed is sure to appear – quicker than the Tata Sierra in both HTE (O) and GTX. These machines, standing a bit taller than average, announce themselves without a thunderous crash.

Kia Seltos Performance in Safety?

However, the power remained strong in the driver’s head, thighs, and lower right leg. Though a little less protection for the lower left leg, it is far from weak.

The person inside the vehicle is provided with a shield similar to those seen in other side-impact crashes. Stillness remained in the center of the vehicle while wild movements were seen on the outer parts of the vehicle. Though hit hard from one side by the vehicle, the main points remained in shape. From the skull down to the pelvic bones, everything resisted the impact of the crash. The occupant up front felt safety matching past cases of side impacts. Power flowed from segment to segment without breaking essential shields.

It seemed like every time the sprinter ran down in the field, they clicked into place like they should have been. The large vehicle hit a padded wall fifteen out of seventeen. Yet, in the side impacts with the rolling block, results were flawless. However, upon re-checking later on, the top mark of sixteen remained unchanged.

Kia Seltos Price and Rivals

Placed in a crowded space, Kia’s Seltos wears a price tag from ₹10.99 lakh to ₹19.99 lakh. Right behind is Renault’s Duster – built to last, made familiar by time, driven by those who live by the promise of consistent miles. What you get inside is very similar to the Hyundai Creta’s cabin. Quietly lurking off the road is Tata’s Sierra, designed to take on bad roads and sudden drops in stride.

Where the road meets the ground, Maruti’s Grand Vitara is parked – driven by those who live for the thrill of motion without the noise. Not too far off is the Honda Elevate, standing tall in silence instead of on bad roads. Then there’s the Maruti Vitara, moving forward on familiar brand names in new attire. From Europe comes the Skoda Kushaq, offering edges not normally found in this group. Finally, there’s the Volkswagen Taigun, cornering sharply, noticed by all despite being quiet itself.
