The headlines feature Akshay Kumar once again, this time being pulled by a string of new releases. Apart from Bhoot Bangla, which is a mix of ghost story and comedy blunder, the interest is more focused on Welcome To The Jungle. The film roars with speed, made possible by grand plans behind the scenes.

Of late, however, the film merely whispers, thanks to the quiet departures from the team. All of these changes have come about without much warning. Instead of the film fading away, the discussions have come tighter, fueled by hushed communications from behind the walls of the studios, which have come about only recently.

Starting late has only added more pressure to the already tight schedule. Nonetheless, each morning brings in a new mix of unplanned detours and turns. The motion does not come to a halt. Hiccups come in the way of clockwork, and answers come in quiet succession. The progress moves forward, one foot then the next, amidst the chaos that continues to hum in the background.

Akshay Kumar Plans Shift at Bhoot Bangla

Lately, everyone has been talking about Bhoot Bangla. Initially, everyone knew that the film would hit the screens on April 10. Now? There are whispers going on pointing to April 17.

The dates have not been confirmed, though. Rumors of such a nature seem to come up regularly in the course of film production. When there is a delay in the post-production of a film, there are changes that come in due course. Sometimes, the changes come in the form of avoiding crowded windows. For film studios that look to release more than one film in a year, much like the pace of Akshay Kumar, balancing is key. The changes have to balance each other in due course.

Akshay Kumar Dubai Shoot Plan Delayed

But then, halfway through, everything changed. The plan was to create a major music scene in Dubai for Welcome To The Jungle. Still moving forward, they made the decision to go even bigger. Suddenly, ideas for sprawling set pieces began pouring out on the notebook pages, the endless stretch of the desert now encircled on the charts.

Welcome To The Jungle

The filming in Dubai was halted. The tensions in the world were rising, the safety concerns spreading. Rather than continue forward, the team took a step back. The questions hung in the air. The motion ceased, the plans adapting. The silence was what replaced the motion.

The actions to be taken needed new thought. “Starting over is not falling behind,” the team must have thought. “Caution wears the mask of waiting.” When teams stretch out over the world, the cost rises quickly, the timelines accumulate, but one wrong piece can bring the whole thing crashing down. People do not stop because they lack belief; they stop out of respect for the pace, for the others, for what rushing forward might unleash.

Mumbai Might Resemble Dubai

The shooting process went on uninterruptedly. When Dubai could not be used for some scenes, Mumbai filled in for them. The fresh start is what guides the group as they bring Dubai’s high-class style straight into Mumbai. On places such as Madh Island, purpose is beginning to be seen, a stretch at a time.

Hidden inside is the Golden Tobacco Studio, appearing discreetly, just like Film City once did. The changes occurring in these places are slowly yielding bold visions, reminiscent of Dubai’s style. Gradually but surely, components are accumulating to create a scene that speaks of distant horizons, not loudly but near.

What is noticeable now is the attention each small detail in a frame is lending itself to. Not only posh lounges are bathed in golden hues but also rooms for gambling. The private jets are also bathed in the same hues but in a different form, matching the style of the city. The backgrounds have always been important in these scenes. What is different this time is that it is more defined.

A Star Studded Song Like None Else

The most noticeable aspect is the line of movie stars who attract attention with their eyes. Not just Akshay Kumar, there are many more who are walking through scenes one after another.

Out of the corner of the eye, Raveena Tandon is walking in, placing her feet very light on the ground. Behind her, right on her heels, is Jackie Shroff, walking through without any breaks in his step. Paresh Rawal pops in just a little after Lara Dutta, and Disha Patani follows in not long after.

Near them, Arshad Warsi is holding his ground while Suniel Shetty is sticking close by, and Jacqueline Fernandez pops in fresh behind them. It is when Shreyas Talpade finally pops in that they all fall into place, like they were never forced to.

What happens when you try to get everyone together at once? It rarely works, as everyone has their own different schedules, their own different work, their own different commitments. Moving everything to Mumbai has streamlined this process, making it so much easier with less headaches with international schedules. The timeline is much stronger now.

Shooting Starts Soon

Around somewhere near April 15th, the major musical number is set to start being shot. From what sources tell us, it is to be shot on the streets of Mumbai. Currently, building sets is taking up nearly every hour, with costume drawings piling up high on work tables. Even if there is little to no noise coming out of the studio, movement is thriving. Scribbled dance cues adorn the mirrors, with spotlights shining during odd intervals of time.

Every time something this big is launched, people expect great things. Their eyes will linger in wonder whether the new footage is as good as the first glimpse they got of the movie in Dubai. If everything is as it should be without a plan, then the music may take center stage as the story is acted out.

Smart Move or Risky Change?

A surprise shift in another place might just turn out all right. However, sticking with Mumbai saves money, avoids travel hassles, and keeps things in a routine. Being in one place keeps everything connected when you stop searching for a new move.

If you copy a place like Dubai, accuracy lies in details. Is the look correct? Judgment comes later when time is passed. Accuracy in scale is good up to a point; however, emotion is lost in transit. Patience is what will reveal if magic is intact.
