However, within her own skin, time evaporates before she can fully capture the entire narrative.
Blurred on the edges now, the narrative unravels itself – men bound by harassment laws, families split after breaking their wedding promises, pairs of the same sex walking down uncharted trails. Tough subjects indeed, yet they loom over specific instances instead of settling into place. Earlier, each narrative remained closed off tightly, neat as a bolt closing its groove. The present era? Time stretches thin, fragments separate in silence, and the focus wanders towards the unseen.
Maamla Legal Hai 2 Ravi Kishan is in the Center
There is a certain focus that one finds in today’s episode. One is not necessarily talking about acting, which in this case involves Ravi Kishan. It is a matter of watching him assume his character. It is easy to see how he takes a certain stance. It is always tense but there is a certain energy that makes it look real. He stops sometimes, without any reason, because it was the silence that preceded speech. Even if he is quiet, the entire world seems to pause for him.
Nidhi Bischna does not force anything, yet each joke hits the nail on the head. Anjum Batra keeps up with her speed, even if she does not seem like she is trying to catch her partner. She is always able to get her point across whenever the dialogue becomes slower. Naila Grewal seems to be making her presence felt, even if the jokes are not working out as well as intended. Kusha Kapila could have done better if she had more freedom in her lines.

Silent truth rings out through every shot. The morning sun remains throughout Pandey’s film shots – never rushed, always observing. There is activity in the hallways but no voices; it is silence that tells the tale. Paper piles on messy desks whisper old secrets. Silently, the camera captures images with eyes only, never blinding with any flash. Gradually, the papers dance to their own rhythm.
The emptiness in the shot was intentional. Every shot holds the weight of place in its own right. But still, the edits seem unnecessary at times. When movement needs to be rapid, it is too slow for the plot line. All of a sudden, the momentum of the shot breaks. Perhaps tighter editing during production could have helped the weak spots. The music suits the shots perfectly until it fades away.

Ironically, the show underperforms in Season 2. The quirky jokes and quirks were what attracted one before, but the series has grown up since, and there is now little charm left. There does appear to be an aftermath of sorts from all the digging, though. It certainly doesn’t have that sparkle anymore. In this case, it is the humor that is lagging, whereas in the other case, it would move ahead fast. There are endless discussions that drag on till the same old thing happens. The drama is all talk, without even an iota of action.
Sometimes, the show becomes so insistent on driving its point home that the entertainment factor fails. This show is not recommended if you want some witty exchanges in the courtroom.
